First Day

Today I had orientation and all staff meeting at my new job at Aegis of Lynnwood.  I am terrified yet super excited for this opportunity. I think the two hardest parts of having a job is the commute after work and having to wear shoes. For the past two and a half months I have worn sandles and flip flops…. MY FEET NOW HATE SHOES.

My main project as of today is creating the schedule for myself and two full-time assistants… WAIT! Did you read that? TWO FULL-TIME ASSISTANTS! I get 2 assistants for a quarter of the residents I am use to having. It is nice and exciting to have more support. Tomorrow I am going to the carnival for my first official event.

The photo is from the clinic getting my TB test. There was a lot of interesting people at the clinic. It is an L&I clinic and kind of sketchy. I sat in the only single chair away from all the interesting people. Next to the water cooler…. a weird guy kept coming and spitting in the garbage. YUCK!

If I remember I need to blog about working at the Almond Roca factory and Almond Roca at the meeting today.

Foot and Apple

Jennifer had surgery on her foot last Tuesday. I hung out with them on Wednesday. Madi and I ran to pick up Jenn’s meds. Before we even got to the store this little cutie insisted we needed apples. OF ALL THE THINGS AUNTIE LALA could buy at the store, she wanted and apple.

Culinary Endeavors

Was craving homemade pizza last Sunday. So…. of course Samuel and I added a theme for the Seahawk’s game.

And, yesterday Margaret and I made Thai Chicken Lettuce Wraps. I want to work on the noodle recipe though… it needs some fixing amd I think I know exactly the trick.

Jennifer and I took her kids and Joey to the fair yesterday. He is going to Utah today with his mommy and Lizzie for hopefully no longer then a month. I just love spending time with this loud and crazy group of little ones.

Childhood

It was so weird to drive by the location of my childhood home and see it in 2 piles of concrete. I am thankful I have good memories and don’t need it to stand for another 100 years as it did before.

Tickets and Fliers

I don’t think it is any surprise that I have been recruited to make collateral for a local soccer team. I have done the fliers and tickets and signs at AV for the past long years and it is something that I have come to love doing.

EVEN better I love making layered paper invitations.

Baby Lizzie

Well… apparently pictures didn’t want to load on this post 😦 or the words.

Last Saturday as I was sleeping on Jennifer’s floor with the kids ingot the phone call David and Amanda needed me to come watch Joey. It was baby time.

Jennifer told me to go the back way. I have been watching way too much Criminal Minds lately because I was scared out of my mind and anxious the whole drive… and I missed multiple turns.

Joey was a perfect little angel. We played with toys, danced, went to church, played at Jenn’s and of course visited baby Lizzie at the hospital. When I put him to bed, he even fell asleep while I sang him “I am a Child of God”. I just love all my nieces and nephews.
