I am not even going to answer this because I am still so sad and angry that my ipod was stolen from my car!!!
Yesterday I took 7 residents to a new restaurant that opened up at the Kent Station. It has been open for a month so we were being risky trying something new… which is NOT ALWAYS A GOOD IDEA WITH OLD PEOPLE. Sometimes they are not very adventurous!
“The restaurant is a quirky old-new hybrid. It has walls of rough brick, tables of thick barnwood and booths with leather upholstery and riveted aluminum panels. The bar has TVs that are hidden behind large mirrors and visible only when on, and five booths with their own beer taps. It also has light fixtures made from gas cylinder caps and a row of patio stools topped with tractor seats.
“It’s sort of a pre-Prohibition industrial look, but it’s still kind of warm,” Galusha said.”
It kind of was a mix of industrial with a touch of farm homeiness.
The restaurant looked great! It had a fun atmosphere. the napkins were farm style dish cloths and the pitchers of water were glass milk cartons. Tt really was a fun place to eat. The food on the other hand…. GREASY and over priced. I couldnt eat half the meat on my plate because it was almost pure fat.
There were typos on their information board (which annoyed me!) The concept behind the restaurant is great though. They use only fresh ingredients from local farms… ALL LOCAL. I think the farthest food is brought in is seafood from California and Alaska. they make everything from scratch… possibly even their ketchup… we couldn’t figure that out. They even make their drink flavorings themselves. Would I recommend it? I really don’t know. It had its positives… the service was great and SPEEDY which is a plus for my residents!!!) But I do not think I would eat there again… People should try and form their own opinions though…. You might like it!
